A breve dovrebbero arrivare sul mercato prodotti con il nuovo marchio “Made Green in Italy” che certifica, oltre all’origine italiana, anche il rispetto di determinati standard di produzione a basso impatto ambientale.

La nuova certificazione riguarda tutti i prodotti, alimentari e non, nonché servizi. Il marchio è del Ministero dell’Ambiente, rilasciato su domanda dei produttori dopo la verifica dei requisiti necessari. Un decreto ministeriale che entra in vigore il 13 giugno ha fissato le modalità di presentazione delle domande di rilascio delle licenze di utilizzo che hanno durata triennale (1).

Quali requisiti per l’ottenimento di questo marchio, e quindi le “garanzie” per il consumatore?
Non ci sono disposizioni specifiche, anche considerando che sono coinvolti TUTTI i prodotti e servizi già dotati del marchio “made in Italy” e che quindi le caratteristiche “ecologiche” possono essere diverse ed anche regolate dalle stesse aziende produttrici nell’ottica di rendere i propri prodotti più competitivi.

In termini generali i prodotti devono presentare prestazioni ambientali pari o superiori al parametro di riferimento seguendo il metodo europeo PEF (product environmental footprint) di valutazione della cosiddetta “impronta ambientale” definita con i criteri stabiliti dalla Raccomandazione 2013/179/Ue.
