The Commission has launched the first ever European Sustainability Award to recognize the efforts and creativity of European businesses, organisations and individuals who work towards reaching the UN Sustainable Development Goals. This year, the theme of the award is “Empowering people and ensuring inclusiveness and equality”.
The competition is open to 4 stakeholder categories:
- Youth;
- Public bodies;
- Private bodies;
- Civil society.
The winners will be announced by the European Commission First-Vice President Frans Timmermans and Vice-President Jyrki Katainen at a high-level ceremony in the spring of 2019.
Applications can be submitted until 14 September 2018.
